MAY 8 'Leave No Plastic Behind' Preview on display at Gumbo Gifts & Gallery storefront window. See select objects d'art from the Leave No Plastic Behind 2007 exhibit. Visit some of the participating artists for this year's exhibit (June 12-July 12) as they open a studio in Gumbo's new Patio Room. JUNE 12 Leave No Plastic Behind, an art exhibit made from recycled plastic. Leave No Plastic Behind aims to creatively enlighten consumers of all ages about the impact of single-use plastic on social progress and the environment. Through a series of awareness raising events, this collective (of new and established artists) considers the true costs of modern convenience and demonstrates the importance of collaborative resourcefulness between consumers, their communities and business |
